At North London Actors we have established a creative, productive and welcoming base for actors, writers and directors. We present a wide range of interesting plays, which we perform as semi-staged rehearsed readings in front of an audience. The plays are rehearsed on the afternoon of the preceding Sunday, with a brief 'top up' session before the performance. Notwithstanding the short rehearsal time, we strive for the highest professional standards in all our work.
We also hold regular sessions where you can just turn up, sit in a circle and read a play. It's a good opportunity to practice sight reading and increase your repertoire.
Next Circle Reading
The next Circle Reading is of A Mad World, My Masters, by Barrie Keefe, at 7.30 on Monday 26th September. The reading will take place at Hayward's flat, where places are limited; if you are interested in coming please email us at email@example.com
All welcome, subject to space limitations: if you have a copy of the play, please bring it. Otherwise let us know you need one when requesting a place. N.B. This is NOT the Thomas Middleton work.
Members, if you would like your show publicised here. Email details to firstname.lastname@example.org
Whether you are an actor, a writer or a director, or if you simply wish to see neglected plays given a new lease of life, you are welcome to join us. Annual membership is £10 and gives reduced price entry into our performances: currently £3 for members and £5 for non-members. Circle readings are normally free for members who bring their own scripts; we can usually provide a printout of plays that are out of copyright for £2 to £3 if requested in advance.
